David Cameron has appointed Lord Young as the new enterprise tsar.  His main role will be ensuring that small and medium sized businesses get a fair share of government spending and are treated fairly by legislation.  His first task will be to write a "brutally honest" report on how government and smaller firms will interact.  After that, he'll be looking at:

• Ways to encourage start-ups and remove barriers to starting a business
• Removing barriers that are currently stopping businesses from growing
• Reforming government procurement to make it fairer for small suppliers
